Overview

Sleep to Wake is a solo show assembled from the works of Robert Browning, especially the "Dramatic Monologues," and from the letters that passed between the poet and Elizabeth Barrett, who was to become his wife.

Dennis Parks, the president of the San Francisco Browning Society, says:

"...one of the Bay Area's finest classical actors, Julian Lopez-Morillas has spectacularly revived the namesake of [our] own 107-year-old society. Lopez-Morillas vividly encompasses Browning's character, poetry, spirituality and passions... This is a unique and sophisticated performance not to be missed."

Sleep to Wake will perform from 2 August to 13 August at the Hill Street Theatre in Edinburgh, as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Performances start at 4:15 each afternoon and last 75 minutes. For tickets contact the Fringe Box Office or Universal Arts Ltd.
